doin' the Appalachian ridge

Not much to say, lots of twisties, fantastic views, perfect weather. What can go wrong? Well, at exactly 7:18pm, every night, the deer comes out, with his entire extended family. I'm not kidding, there were coming out like New York rats. Scary.
Took us a while to finish the Skyline (35mph speed limit) and the Blue Ridge Parkway (very long).
Finished the whole thing with a bang: Deal's Gap between North Carolina and Tennessee, to tame the Dragon. This a VERY twisty road with 318 turns in 11 miles, scraped the pegs on almost every corner. Check it out http://www.dealsgap.com/

Here are the pics:

Find Caro. This was an awesome room !

Except for the view in the morning..aahhh, no wonder it was quiet :-)

  1. Heh you're the only person I know who can capture the exact "kodak moment" of a situation - who else would take out the camera and start to click away in the middle of a knee-scrape with a dirt bike ? :)

Awesome pics, don't keep us waiting for more ..

  3. Hehe, thanks

Sorry about your test, but it's not like that has kept you from riding, anyways :-) except with this one you can't escape through bushes...well, unless you didn't mean to :-)

  4. Yes, I'm not just a biker, I'm an outlaw biker.. Although I'm a bit more scared of being caught these days, I have a bit more to lose ;)
